Abstract

Secondary title: LIGHTING FOR PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS
Secondary abstract: Modern way of life changed people's lives. There are also more and more roads that allow us to live a "modern" way of life, which is also getting faster. Consequently, more and more people use cars, as this is the way they reach the desired destination faster. Therefore, it is even more important not to forget about safe crossings for pedestrians and cyclists. Graduation thesis represents pedestran crossings in Maribor, which are not lighted enough and thus dangerous for pedestrians. Thesis also shows how to increase the brightness with the small investment, how to increase the safety of the crossings and consequently reduce the possibility of a traffic accident due to poor visibility. At the end of graduation thesis, the actual cost of better brightness of crossings is calculated.
