Abstract

Diplomsko delo predstavlja obravnavo alkoholizma in zdravljenje le-tega. Poleg klasičnih oblik zdravljenja so predstavljene skupinske metode rehabilitacije in družinska terapija. Obe temeljita na samoiniciativi posameznika in trajnosti odločitve o abstinenci.

Secondary abstract: In our paper we have been focusing on alcoholism and its healing process. The paper uses descriptive research method. In the beginning we have conducted an overview of alcoholism, followed by the chapter with its definitions, consequences and initiators. We have been intrigued to find out how alcohol affects both, an addict and its relatives. We have found out that consequences of alcoholism are much broader in scope; hence they are manifested within human beings themselves and on the national level. In the final section of alcoholism we have presented statistics, which show a bad picture of current state however, there are some promising forecasts. In the second part of our diploma we have examined the role of a nurse in the procedure of healing alcoholism. In fact, we have tried to figure out how we can assure more clients in the treatment of alcoholism. Additionally, we have introduced non-conventional methods of healing alcoholics, such as family therapy and groups of anonymous alcoholics.
