Abstract
Prav zaradi vedenja bolnikov v akutni fazi poteka motnje so se v družbi izoblikovala zmotna prepričanja o bolnikih in motnji sami. Okolica bolnike s shizofrenijo velikokrat stigmatizira, in s tem potiska na rob. V naši raziskavi smo želeli preučiti, kakšen odnos imajo do bolnikov s shizofrenijo zdravstveni delavci. Ugotovili smo, da imajo zdravstveni delavci, vključeni v našo raziskavo, pozitiven odnos do bolnikov s shizofrenijo in da imajo minimalno izražene predsodke. Razlik med posameznimi poklicnimi skupinami nismo ugotovili.

Healthcare workers' attitude towards patients with shizophrenia |
Secondary abstract: |
Schizophrenia is a long-lasting, repeating disorder with symptoms that influence the person's ability to function normally. The pateints' behavior in the acute stage of this disorder has influenced the society's views on the patients and the disorder itself. The surroundings often stigmatizes and marginalizes the patients. In our research we have tried to study the medical workers' sttitude towards them. We were wondering whether the attitude was positive or negative, whether there were any predjudice, and the difference in the attitude amongst various groups of medical workers. First, we studied the literature and then the empirical part was performed. There were 82 medical workers (psychiatrists/pedopsychiatrists, nurses, techicians, doctors, specialists ...) included, who participated in our survey. We have found that the medical workers included in our research had a positive attitude towards the patients diagnosed with schizophrenia, and that there was a minimum of predjudice expressed. We haven't detected any differences amongst certian groups of medical workers. |
