Abstract

Magistrsko delo predstavi pomembnost trajnosti in škodljive vplive pri razvoju izdelkov, predvsem pri razvoju izdelkov iz plastike. Oblikovanje netrajnostnih izdelkov je pogosto povezano s slabim načrtovanjem življenjskega cikla izdelka, kot je to v primeru klasičnih parafinskih nagrobnih sveč. Osrednji del naloge je namenjen oblikovanju novega izdelka v spomin na pokojno osebo. Izbrani motivacijski dejavniki in strategije eko-dizajna usmerjajo oblikovanje trajnostnega izdelka, ki ohrani simbolni pomen nagrobnih sveč in zadovolji uporabniške potrebe. Modularni koncept izdelka nudi posebno uporabniško izkušnjo in je izdelan iz netoksičnih materialov ter z uporabo tehnologije 3D tiska.

Secondary title: Design of a sustainable product in memory of the deceased
Secondary abstract: This master's thesis presents the importance of sustainability and the harmful effects of product development, especially in the development of plastic products. Unsustainable product design is often associated with poor product life cycle planning, as in case of classic paraffin grave candles. The main section is dedicated to the design of a new product in memory of the deceased. The selected motivating factors and eco-design strategies direct the design of a sustainable product that preserves the symbolic meaning of grave candles, and satisfies the users' needs. The modular concept of the product offers a special user experience, and is made from non-toxic materials with the use of 3D printing technology.
