delo diplomskega projekta
Abstract
V Sloveniji izobraževalni sistem ni dovolj povezan s trgom dela.

ǂThe ǂposition of youth in labour market in Slovenia and Austria |
Secondary abstract: |
In the diploma project we compare the position of the youth in labour market in Slovenia and Austria. Both countries are members of the European Union, with common currency euro. Based on the analysis of principal macroeconomic indicators, with the emphasis on the indicators on labour market trends in both countries, we found out that the conditions in Austria are better than in Slovenia at many areas.
The work activity rate of population in Slovenia is 3,7 % lower than in Austria in 2016. The unemployment rate in Slovenia is, however, 1,5 % higher than in Austria in 2016. We found out that the conditions for the youth, who enter the labour market are even worse. The rate of work activity of the youth, aged 15 to 29, was 18,6 % lower in Slovenia in comparison to Austria in 2016. The rate of unemployment of the youth, aged between 15 and 24, was, however, 4,8 % higher in Slovenia than in Austria in 2016.
In Slovenia the education system is not enough allied with the labour market. Therefore, the youth in Slovenia make the first steps on the labour market through student work. In Austria, however, the youth have more practical work already during studying in comparison to Slovenian education system. The transition between education and labour market is easier in Austria, because the youth meet prospective employers earlier. More and more young people in Slovenia decide to find employment outside the borders of their country, mostly in the member states of the European Union.
The economic conditions in Slovenia are improving in 2016, due to more favourable international competitiveness, increased domestic consumption and private investments. |
