diplomsko delo univerzitetnega študijskega programa Varstvoslovje
Abstract
V teoretičnem delu smo preko pregleda literature predstavili delo policije in policijsko delo v skupnosti.
V empiričnem delu smo ugotavljali zadovoljstvo občanov z lokalno policijo in tud njihovo poznavanje policije.
Analiza odgovorov nam daje zanimive ugotovitve.

Community policing is a relatively new approach to police work. The main partners are police and the local community, which help each other in the field of prevention, investigation and detection of criminal offenses. The purpose of community policing is also to reduce crime and maintain public order more effectively.
In the theoretical part we presented the work of the police and the community policing through literature review. First, we described the work of the police very broadly and presented basics of community policing. In the following sections, we described the development of police work in Slovenia, beginning with the gendarmerie, the national militia and finally the police force. With the help of Slovene and foreign authors, we presented various definitions of community policing, while in the next chapter we described the cooperation between the police in the community, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of community policing. We also described some examples of community policing in Slovenia, and at the end of the theoretical part, we described community policing in the area of the Police Station Slovenske Konjice.
In the empirical part we were exploring the satisfaction of citizens with the local police and their knowledge of the police there. We collected the data with a questionnaire, which was distributed to a sample of a hundred people. The questionnaire was divided into three sections: satisfaction with police work, cooperation with the police, knowledge and perception of the local police. Analysis of responses gives us interesting results. Although the respondents believe that police officers perform their work professionally, impartially, legally, politely, quickly respond to urgent calls, cooperate well with the local population and provide good traffic safety, more than two thirds of respondents state that they are not satisfied with the police work and that they would definitely change it. |
