Secondary abstract: | The purpose of this final thesis is comparing analysis of two CFD programs on a aerodynamic wind turbine airfoil. We carried out numerical simulations in Ansys CFX 17.1 and Ansys Fluent 17.1. We simulated the aerodynamic airfoil NACA 0015 at various angles of attack. We compared the results of numerical simulations with results we got from literature. We also compared the lift coefficient, drag coefficient and the pressure distribution across the airfoil at various angles of attack and separation point on aerodynamic airfoil. We have made stationary simulations k-ε and SST turbulent fluid models in each CFD program. |
