Pomen informacijske pismenosti za informacijsko družbo

Abstract

Učinkovita uporaba informacij in znanj v današnjem času predstavlja temelj za vseživljenjsko učenje in igra pomembno vlogo pri osebnem ter poklicnem razvoju. Izobraževanje, za uporabo informacij in razvijanje informacijske pismenosti, postaja vse bolj izstopajoča potreba v sodobnem življenju. Informacijska pismenost je proces, ki se v bistvu nikoli ne konča, saj se mora posameznik prilagajati razvoju informacijske družbe, če želimo biti učinkoviti in uspešni v njej. Informacijska pismenost zajema poznavanje informacijske tehnologije, njeno razumevanje in uporabo ter pridobivanje informacij. Pri informacijski pismenosti gre za zbirko različnih vrst znanj potrebnih za delo z različnimi tipi informacij in tehnologijami. V prvem delu magistrskega dela smo prikazali pomen informacijske pismenosti za informacijsko družbo. Prvem smo predstavili informacijsko družbo, pomen poznavanja informacijskih tehnologij in našteli glavne prednosti in slabosti informacijske komunikacijske tehnologije (v nadaljevanju IKT). Opredelili smo učinke in posledice uporabe IKT v informacijsi družbi. V tretjem poglavju smo podrobneje opredelili pojem informacijska pismenost. V nadaljevanju smo predstavili raziskavo na področju informacijske pismenosti, kjer nas je zanimalo, kako se bomo v prihodnosti soočali s to tematiko, ter katere veščine bo potrebno osvojiti v prihodnosti. V drugem delu magistrskega dela, ki temelji na empirični raziskavi, smo proučevali informacijsko pismenost med mlajšo in starejšo populacijo.

Secondary abstract:	The effective use of information and knowledge today's is the basis for lifelong learning and plays an important role in personal and professional development. Education in use of information and development of information literacy is becoming an ever-emerging need in modern life. Information literacy is a process that, in fact, never ends, since an individual must adapt to the development of the information society in order to be effective and successful in it. Information literacy covers knowledge of information technology, its understanding and use, and the acquisition of information. Information literacy is a collection of different types of knowledge for working with different types of information technologies. In the first part of the master's thesis, we show the importance of information literacy for the information society. First, we present information society, the importance of knowledge for the information society and lists the main strengths and weaknesses of information communication technologies (ICT) education. We identified the effects of use ICT in the information society. In the third chapter, we defined the concept of information literacy in more detail. We presented a survey of information literacy, where we were interested how we will deal with this topic in the future, and what skills will be needed in the future. In the second part of the master's thesis, based on empirical research, we studied information literacy among the young and the older population.
