diplomsko delo univerzitetnega študijskega programa Varstvoslovje
Abstract
V diplomskem delu z naslovom Trendi kaznivih dejanj na Nizozemskem (po podatkih ESB) so v začetnem teoretičnem delu predstavljeni problemi beleženja uradne kriminalitete in nekateri problemi primerjav v kriminologiji. Sledi navedba in opis osnovnih kriminoloških paradigm in predstavitev projekta European Sourcebook of Crime and Criminal Justice Statistics.

Crime trends in the Netherlands (data source: ESB) |
Secondary abstract: |
At the beginning of diploma dissertation, entitled Crime trends in the Netherlands (data source: ESB), problems of recording official crime data and some problems of comparisons in criminology are presented. Thesis next focus on description of basic criminological paradigms, as well European Sourcebook of Crime and Criminal Justice Statistics project is introduced. Theoretical part of dissertation concludes in brief presentation of Dutch constitutional framework, criminal justice system and economy.
In the empirical part the graphic presentation and interpretation of crime rates by criminal offences committed (intentional homicide, assault (bodily injury), rape, robbery, theft and criminal offences of drug abuse) is provided for Netherlands between 1990 and 2011. Next crime statistics for the provinces of the Netherlands, obtained from the Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek (CBS), are presented for the years 2010 and 2016.
In next chapter of thesis, based on already known data for the period from 1995 to 2011, we have tested the existence of a time trend and with linear calculation forecasted the number of all crimes for 2012. Forecasts of the trend are then followed by a comparison of maps of crime rate loads and crime trends of selected criminal offenses between the Netherlands, Belgium, Slovenia and the members of the European Union. Interpretations in this segment are backed up by graphs and maps of the crime rate loads for individual offences for all EU members.
The diploma work continues with the presentation of the calculation of the slope and the growth index for selected criminal offences for the countries of the Netherlands, Belgium, Slovenia and the value of the median for EU member states and concludes with a verification of the hypotheses of the growth of crime trends and with some proposals for further research. |
