Abstract

Izhodišče in namen: V slovenskih bolnišnicah se za možgansko kapjo vsako leto zdravi okoli 4000 ljudi. Skoraj 70 % bolnikov ima kronično okvarjeno gibalno funkcijo prizadete roke, več kot polovica zmanjšano funkcionalnost, zaradi ohromelosti prizadete polovice telesa, večina potrebuje pomoč pri opravljanju osnovnih dnevnih dejavnosti. Mnoge osebe po preboleli možganski kapi doživljajo občutke jeze, žalosti, strahu, zato je stopnja njihove družbene aktivnosti nižja. S tem pa tudi kakovost življenja. Raziskovalne metode: V zaključnem delu smo uporabili kvalitativno metodologijo raziskovanja. Podatke smo zbrali z delno strukturiranimi intervjuji, petih starejših oseb, starih od 65 do 89 let. Podatke smo obdelali po metodi tematske analize, oblikovali tematske sklope in jih predstavili v narativni obliki. Rezultati: Zbrani podatki so po analizi rezultirali v dva tematska sklopa in sicer: Soočanje s posledicami možganske kapi in Kvaliteta življenja po možganski kapi. Diskusija in zaključek: Izkušnje starejših oseb s kvaliteto življenja po možganski kapi so pozitivne in negativne. Obe strani se medsebojno prepletata. Na starostnikovo kvaliteto življenja po možganski kapi vpliva veliko različnih dejavnikov, med katerimi so: čustveni odzivi, telesne ovire, stiske, odzivi na posledice, motiviranost, aktivno življenje po možganski kapi. Še vedno je premalo govora o življenju takšnih ljudi, zato je potrebno temu nameniti večjo pozornost.

Secondary title: Older people experiences of quality of life after a stroke
Secondary abstract: Introduction: Around 17 million people worldwide are affacted by brain stroke yearly and around 4,000 people who suffers from brain stroke are treated in slovenian hopitals. 70 % of all pacients has a chronic defect with their arms and more than half report reduced functionality in their whole body, so they need help even with everyday activities. People after brain stroke experience feelings of anger, sadness and fear, which cause reduced social activity and lower quality of life in general. Experience of different pacients may varies due to subjective feelings of every person. Reserch methods: In the last part we used qualitative methodology of reserch. For collecting data we used interview. In reseach was used partially structured interview, where we interviewed five people who are from 65 to 89 years old. From interviews we searched thematic sets and analyzed them appropriatly. Results: We analyzed the answers by method thematic analysis of the text. We used two main categories: Dealing with consequences of brain stroke and Quality of life after brain stroke. In each category we exposed subcategories which mutually intertwine. Discussion and Conclusion: Experience of elderly after brain stroke can be both positive and negative. It is a subjective experience of each individual, but both sides are conected with each other. We still do not talk about the life of this kind of people so we will put more atention on this.
