Abstract
Meritve gibljivosti smo izvedli z goniometrom, rezultate smo zabeležili v kotnih stopinjah.

The connection between flexibility and competition performance in tennis with young players |
Secondary abstract: |
On the sample of 18 tennis players aged 13 to 16, we established the degree of connectivity between flexibility and competitive performance. We also established the correlation or connectivity between flexibility and the number of injuries of individual players. We also researched the changes in flexibility, measured before and after a match.
The flexibility measurements were taken with a goniometer, and the results were recorded in angular degrees.
The results obtained from flexibility measurements of tennis players, which were performed before and after the game, were entered into the SPSS program, where we established the correlation between flexibility and competitive performance, as well as between flexibility and the number of injuries. The correlation between flexibility, the duration and number of injuries and match success (TZS points) was checked with Pearson's correlation coefficient. The relationship between flexibility and tennis scale ranking was also checked with Spearman's correlation coefficient.
The results after the match showed flexibility improvement. After the match, the tests showed flexibility improvement in internal shoulder rotation on both sides, external left hand rotation and elevation through abduction in both shoulders. The best progress of flexibility was achieved exactly at the test for elevation through abduction in the shoulder, namely the mobility improved on average by 14 degrees.
We also noticed a flexibility improvement at the left and right hip adduction, and at the eversion and inversion in both joints. On average, joint flexibility improved between 3 and 5 degrees.
We also discovered that better flexibility is also associated with a lower number of injuries in the hinge.
Better mobility results in greater success on the TZS scale rank in the shoulder and hip. We came to this conclusion at tests for elevation through abduction in the left shoulder joint and abduction in the left hip. |
