Abstract

Teoretični del magistrske naloge obsega predstavitev elektronske knjige, njen razvoj in formate v katerih jih je možno brati. Nato sledi opis razvoja slovenskega e-knjižnega trga od prve spletne knjigarne do trenutne situacije, ko najobsežnejši del trženja e-knjig poteka na dveh portalih, e-Emka in Biblos. Ker je bil namen magistrske naloge raziskati kako e-knjige poznajo slovenski bralci, sledi v praktičnem delu analiza o tem, ali anketiranci berejo e-knjige, kje kupujejo e-knjige in v katerih jezikih jih najpogosteje berejo, analiza njihovega mnenja o slovenski ponudbi e-knjig in v kolikšni meri poznajo ter kako ocenjujejo delovanje spletne knjigarne e-Emka. Na podlagi opravljene analize v zaključku sledi analiza dodatnih možnosti in izzivov za prihodnost s katerimi se bodo v prihodnosti srečevali slovenski e-knjigotržci.

Secondary abstract: First part of the masterʹs thesis describes introduction of the ebook, its development and the formats in which it can be used. Further, the thesis describes development of the Slovene ebook market from the first online bookstore to the present time, when the largest part of the ebook market became dominated by the e-Emka and Biblos portals. The goal of the thesis was to research how familiar are Slovenes with ebooks in other words, where and in what languages Slovenes buy, loan and read ebooks. On the basis of this research some controversies are described that Slovene ebook sellers will have to face in the future.
