Abstract

Rezultati so bili podobni pričakovanim.

Secondary title: TRANSTHEORETICAL MODEL APPLICATION TO LIFESTYLE CHANGES
Secondary abstract: In this thesis, we reserched people’s lifestyle changes using the transtheoretical model (TTM). The survey included 20 participants with health risks who attendeda healthy lifestyle workshop at the Bled Healthcare Centre. During the workshop, they participated in a semi-structured interview with open-ended questions as well as completed a variety of surveys. These included a leisure activity survey, the 36 Item Short Form Health Survey (SF-36), a survey about the psychological aspects of physical exercise and a customised survey about the TTM level. With this collection of surveys, we wanted to show if and how we can use the TTM as a way of developing preventive strategies for a healthy lifestyle. We compared our survey results with other studies of the transtheoretical model. The results turned out as expected. In addition to the efficiency of the transteoretical model, the questions were also focused on finding out the main resons for and against exercising. We also tried to prove the efficiency of our questionnaire to determine the stages of change with the TTM of lifestyle change. Although we have confirmed some of our hypotheses and found new insights, we recommend further research because of the small sample size. We believe that the transtheoretical model is a very important tool in the development of new strategies and healthy lifestyle workshops.
