Abstract

Anketiranci so bili najbolj zadovoljni z delovnimi pogoji (skupna ocena 4,03), sledijo delovni čas (3,86), medsebojni odnosi (3,74), vodenje in informiranje (3,71), vsebina dela in pripadnost organizaciji (3,42). Najmanj so bili zadovoljni s plačo in z nagradami (3,02). Z vsemi dejavniki zadovoljstva (razen s plačo in z možnostmi napredovanja) so bolj zadovoljni inženirji v perifernih enotah.

Secondary title: Job satisfaction of radiographers in screening program DORA
Secondary abstract: Introduction: Employees like to feel good and satisfied at their job, but unfortunately in practice this is rarely happening, which often leads to employee dissatisfaction at work. Radiographers are an important part of the multidisciplinary team in the DORA program, with high quality mammographies they make the detection of small breast cancers easier. There are several factors that influence the satisfaction of radiographers in the program, and each superiors' desire is to find out which are the key ones. Purpose: Until now, no survey about satisfaction of radiographers in DORA program, has been carried out. In our study we wanted to explore which satisfaction component radiographers are most satisfied with, what they do not like and what they would like to change. We wanted to discover whether satisfied radiographers are more successful with their work and whether more responsibilities affect their satisfaction. Methods: Our study consists of two parts. In the theoretical part, we first rewieved different studies published so far in the field of job satisfaction. We also introduced the DORA program and the work of radiographers. In the empirical part, we performed a survey – with a questionnaire as a measurement instrument The questionnaire was distributed among radiographers of the DORA program. The results were analyzed with the SPSS program and compared with similar studies. Results: The survey was returned by 66 radiographers (88% responsiveness), most from peripheral units (56.1%). The overall satisfaction rate was between 3.60 and 3.75. The respondents were most satisfied with the working conditions (a total score of 4.03), followed by working time (3.86), mutual understanding (3.74), management and information (3.71), work content and DORA affiliation (3, 42), and the least satisfied they were with wages and awards (3.02). With all satisfaction factors (except for salary and promotion opportunities), radiographers in peripheral units were more satisfied. Discussion and conclusion: The study has shown that the overall satisfaction of radiographers in DORA program is relatively higher compared to other studies. The biggest problem is the salary and the content of work, which can be exacerbated by the monotony of the work in the future. It would be advicable to consider introducing several diverse daily duties for all radiographers and apropriate rewards for successful work.
