diplomska naloga
Miha Došler (Author), Matjaž Četina (Mentor)

Abstract

Secondary title: Water flow simulations at Lake Slivnica with two-dimensional mathematical model
Secondary abstract: In this bachelor thesis, we used the PCFLOW2D two-dimensional mathematical model, developed at the Chair of Fluid Mechanics of the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering of the University of Ljubljana, to run a series of water flow simulations at Lake Slivnica. In the introduction, we highlight the characteristics of the lake and the barrier, as well as describe the structures enabling the safe and smooth operation of the barrier and energy generation. In the following chapters, we focus on the PCFLOW2D computer program and present the model itself, including some core equations and problem solving methods. The final section covers the grounds for the Lake Slivnica flow modelling, the flow situations studied, the initial and boundary conditions, and, in conclusion, the results and findings.
