Abstract
Ekvivalentne vrednosti v digestatu so bile 8,3 in 1,6 dS m-1.

Carpometric and biochemical properties of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) grown with an alternative hydroponic solution |
Secondary abstract: |
In 2013 we compared the influence of the standard nutrient solution with Hoagland and Arnon method and the cultivated biogas digestate on the carpometric and biochemical characteristics of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill). This study was conducted on the laboratory field of the Biotechnial Faculty in Ljubljana (altitude 305 m; φ = 46° 3′ 23″; λ = 14° 30′ 29″). We included three indeterminate types of grafted tomato: hybrids 'Gardel F1' and 'Belle F1' and the variety 'Novosadski jabučar'. All three types were planted in a random order on the rock wool boards which were set in the trough made of PVC plastic. The average pH values in the standard nutrient solution reached 6.2 and the values of EC reached 1.08 dS m-1. Equivalent values in the digestate were 8,3 and 1,6 dS m-1 . The plants that were irrigated with nutrient solution were, by all measurements during the growing period, statistically heavier, wider and higher. Tomato that was fertilized with digestate had the least of fruits. In the case of hybrids that were irrigated with digestate, there were statistically higher contents of lutein, chlorophyll a and tocopherol. The levels of chlorophyll b were the highest by hybrid 'Belle F1' (82.5 µg/g) on nutrient solution, and the highest levels of lutein and β-karoten were shown on the hybrid 'Novosadski jabučar' also on nutrient solution. From these results we can conclude that the influence of biogass digestate in comparison with the nutrient solution is negative on the growth and development of plants and their fruits, but that it has positive influence on the content of some bioactive compounds. |
