Abstract

V magistrskem delu smo vrednotili, kako vplivata sistem konvencionalnega in sistem ekološkega pridelovanja na okolje. S pomočjo programa SPIonWeb® smo izračunali rezultate ekološkega odtisa, izpust CO2 in potencial globalnega segrevanja (GWP). Podatke za en in drugi sistem pridelovanja smo pridobili v kmetijskem gospodarskem podjetju Žipo, d. o. o., v Lenartu, kjer smo z direktorjem podjetja opravili natančen intervju.

Secondary abstract: In the master's thesis we evaluated how the system of conventional and organic production influence the environment. Using the SPIonWeb® program, we calculated the results of ecological footprint, CO2 emissions and global warming potential (GWP). The data for both cultivation systems were obtained on the agricultural company Žipo d.o.o. in Lenart, where we conducted a detailed interview with director of the company. In the conventional production system, we were dealing with 5 different plots and data available from 2007 to 2012, while in the organic production system, we had 3 different plots and data available from 2014 to 2016. The results show that conventional production system, unlike the organic production system, brought a greater environmental burden, expressed by Sustainable Process Index (SPI). CO2 emissions in this system of production were also higher than in the organic production system. When comparing the GWP values per unit of crop product, we found that they were higher in the conventional production system than the organic production system. In the organic production system, the yields were slightly lower in comparison with conventional system. We can conclude that the system of organic production is much more sustainable than the system of conventional production.
