Abstract

Kulturno-umetnostna vzgoja je pomemben dejavnik v življenju posameznika, saj vpliva na razvoj čuta za estetiko in je že pri otrocih temelj za uravnotežen in skladen razvoj. V empiričnem delu diplomskega dela bomo raziskali kulturno-umetnostni status študentov, njihovo mnenje o potrebi po povečanju pozornosti kulturno-umetnostnim področjem v osnovni in srednji šoli, mnenje študentov o uresničevanju ciljev kulturno-umetnostne vzgoje pri njihovem dosedanjem visokošolskem izobraževanju in stališča študentov do izobraževanja in umetnosti. Rezultati kažejo, da študentje duhovnim, kulturnim in estetskim vrednotam ne pripisujejo velikega pomena. V prostem času največ pozornosti namenijo popularni in zabavni glasbi ter filmu in avdiovizualni kulturi. Študentje menijo, da bi v osnovni šoli morali posvečati največ pozornosti bralnemu področju, v srednji šoli pa uprizoritveno-umetnostnemu področju. Večina študentov meni, da sta bila pri njihovem dosedanjem visokošolskem izobraževanju najpogosteje vključena cilja razvijanja svobodnega in kritičnega mišljenja ter razvijanja domišljije, najredkeje pa cilji oblikovanja umetnostnih vrednot, izražanja lastne kulture, izražanja kultur drugih narodov in razvijanja zavesti o kulturni identiteti. Študentje so mnenja, da je kulturno-umetnostna vzgoja najpomembnejša zaradi razvoja ustvarjalnih potencialov posameznika in da je za dvig kakovosti kulturno-umetnostne vzgoje pomembno spodbujanje partnerstva med šolami ter dodatno strokovno izpopolnjevanje učiteljev.

Secondary title: Culture-Art education within the educational process
Secondary abstract: Culture-art education is an important factor in an individual's life as it influences the development of the sense of aesthetics and already in children represents the basis for a balanced and consistent development. The empirical part of the thesis will deal with the cultural-art status of students, their opinion about the need to emphasize the culture-art curriculum in primary as well as secondary school, their opinion about achieving the goals of culture-art education within the process of their current higher education and their standpoints to education and art. The findings indicate the students do not attribute great importance to the spiritual, cultural and aesthetic values. They spend their free time mostly listening to popular music, watching films and devoting time to audio-visual culture. They consider that in primary school greater emphasis should be given to reading whereas in secondary to performing arts. Most of the students feel that within the process of their current higher education two goals namely that of developing free and critical thinking and that of developing imagination have been included most frequently. On the other hand, the goals of forming artistic values, expressing one's own culture, expressing other nations' culture and developing the awareness of one's own identity have been included most rarely. Students think culture-art education is of utmost importance in view of individual's creative potential development. They also consider encouraging partnerships among schools as well as additional professional growth of teachers to be important in order to rise the quality of culture-art education.
