Abstract

Secondary abstract: The BA thesis analyses two contemporary Slovene novels, Tekoči Trak (2015) and Barbara in Krištof (2016) by Peter Rezman, a contemporary author from Šaleška dolina. In his works, Rezman deals with social themes, the life of the working class, and love. Through local problems he exposes some universal questions about human existence and activity. Rezman constantly intertwines two very different areas, which marked and shaped his life % that is, the friendship of miners and literary production, which may seem incompatible at first glance. But his works beg to differ and Rezman proves that even hard manual labour can translate well into the depth of literature and thus bond the two areas in harmony, which originates from the experience of life and reflects society like a mirror.
