Abstract
pediatrični lestvici kome in triažni sistem, medicinska sestra pripomore h kakovostni oskrbi
deskriptivno metodo dela. Pregledali smo dostopno literaturo obravnavanega problema na
spletnem portalu Kooperativni online bibliografski sistem in servisi (COBISS), CINAHL,
PubMed, Science Direct in Embase. Razprava in sklep: Zdravstvena nega otroka s poškodbo
najkakovostnejšo zdravstveno nego. Medicinska sestra je izvajalka zdravstvene nege;
obravnavo otroka. Ob poškodbi glave otroka lahko z zdravstveno nego preprečimo sekundarne
poškodbe glave, zato medicinske sestre, ki imajo dobro teoretično in praktično znanje, prispevajo
k zmanjšanju posledic poškodb.

Admisson [!] of a child with head injury to an emergancy [!] department |
Secondary abstract: |
Introduction: Head injury in children is classified as a serious health problem. Every child with
head injury must be treated in the hospital. Nurse is the first contact to the injured child when he
arrives to the hospital. With the knowledge, experience and certain medical procedures such
pediatric Glasgow coma scale and the triage system, nurse contributes to the quality care of
children with head injuries. Purpose: The purpose of the work is to present the role of a nurse at
admission of the child with head injuries to the emergency surgical department. Methods: We
used a descriptive method of work. We reviewed the accessible literature of the problem in
question on the web portal Co-operative Online Bibliographic System and Services (COBISS)
and various databases such as Science Direct, Embase, Pubmed and CINAHL. Discussion and
conclusion: Nursing is an important and complex area which requires a trained nurse who
follows the current guidelines, who is constantly trained and follows novelties. This is the only
way which can provide the best and the highest quality nursing care. The nurse has a role of a
coordinator, she takes care of the relationship between child, parents and doctors, and she also
offers emotional support to the parents of the injured child. Nurse must also have good
communication skills, as she is in constant contact with parents of injured child and she also has
to include them in medical treatment of their child. In case of head injured in child nursing care
can prevent secondary head injuries, so nurses with a good theoretical and practical knowledge
contribute to reducing the consequences of injuries. |
