Abstract

Diplomsko delo obravnava področje informacijske varnosti interneta stvari (IoT). V prvem delu so podane teoretične osnove s področja informacijske varnosti in interneta stvari. Opisan je način delovanja naprav interneta stvari in njihova infrastruktura. Navedene so prednosti in slabosti uporabe tovrstnih naprav, predvsem iz vidika varnosti. Na podlagi rezultatov različnih raziskav in tujih virov smo izoblikovali priporočila za varno uporabo naprav interneta stvari za posameznike in podjetja. V empiričnem delu je bila izvedena analiza, kjer smo s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika ugotavljali ozaveščenost slovenskih uporabnikov interneta o varnosti ter o grožnjah, ki jih prinaša uporaba interneta in naprav interneta stvari. Rezultate ankete smo statistično obdelali in z uporabo ustreznih testov hipotez odgovorili na zastavljena raziskovalna vprašanja. Glavne ugotovitve, do katerih smo prišli, kažejo, da izraz IoT med slovenskimi uporabniki interneta ni dobro poznan. Večina uporabnikov interneta ocenjuje, da so IoT naprave uporabne, vendar se ob uporabi počutijo ogroženi. V splošnem lahko trdimo, da se slovenski uporabniki interneta ocenjujejo kot ozaveščene na področju varnosti, vendar drugi rezultati raziskave nakazujejo, da temu ni ravno tako.

Secondary abstract:	The thesis discusses the question of information security of the Internet of Things (IoT). The first part provides the theoretical basis in the field of information security of the Internet of Things. We describe the devices of the IoT from the viewpoint of their operation and infrastructure. The advantages and the disadvantages of using such devices are highlighted, especially in terms of security. Based on the results of various surveys we made recommendations for the secure use of IoT devices for individuals and companies. In the empirical part, a survey was carried out, which has investigated the awareness of the Slovenian Internet users about the security and threats caused by the use of the Internet and IoT devices. The results of the survey were statistically analysed using appropriate hypothesis tests to answer the research questions. The main findings that we have come up with, showed that the term IoT is not well known among Slovenian Internet users. In general, we can say that Slovenian Internet users are assessed as being aware of security, but other research results suggest that this is not the case.
