magistrsko delo
Abstract

Analysis of BIM potential for construction projects and a case study of model - based quantity takeoff |
Secondary abstract: |
The master thesis presents and analyses the vast field of building information modeling. The use of a modern approach does not represent an advantage only for designers at the design stage, but for all participants in the process of building the facility as well as for investors or users throughout the life cycle of the building. In addition to the selected software tools for BIM modeling, the great potential of introducing new information technologies into the optimization, management and monitoring of the construction project are also shown through numerous aspects during the construction period as well as during the life cycle. In the last part of the thesis, an analysis of the results of the quantity takeoff from previously prepared BIM model is shown. In order to capture computer-based electronic quantity takeoff, the specialized CostX software interface and the ARCHICAD software tool were used and compared. The latter proved to be appropriate in particular for the faster making of the quantity takeoff and their simple documentation. The emphasis is on computer-based quantity takeoff that these software tools allow and the comparison with manually or traditionally determined quantity takeoff. |
