Abstract

Secondary title: Cutting processes for the production of progressive tool part
Secondary abstract: The production of progressive tools for making stamped metal products is still one of the most prevalent manufacturing processes for components for the needs of the automotive industry. At VAR d.o.o. have been intensively engaged in the production and continuing development of progressive tools since their inception, and they follow the trends of light and modular construction and safety in the field of manufacturing assemblies for motor vehicles. The diploma paper presents the production of a progressive tool for the stamping process of the Haltering 502917 stainless steel sheet. The Haltering 502917 product is the carrier for the gas pipe of the tank for the BMW 3 Hybrid. The diploma paper presents the general basics on tooling, and in the case of an assembly plate, the tool shows the calculation of individual cutting operations, and in particular the comparison between the calculated and actual times for the production of individual tool components. For each segment of the tool, as part of the development of the tool, the CAM program of tool paths for individual mechanical processing was made, as well as the time analysis shown in the diploma thesis itself. The timing analysis of mechanical processing today is crucial in delivering the offer and determining the selling price of a progressive tool, as it has the greatest impact on the price of the tool and, of course, the acquisition of the project by the buyer. This is also conditional on the calculation of the tool, which from a financial point of view shows on the basis of the realized hours of mechanical processing the cost analysis and, above all, the coverage of the project and, of course, the earnings of the company in the project
