Abstract

Konkurenčnost na zavarovalniškem trgu se vsako leto povečuje, s tem pa tudi boj za preživetje med zavarovalnicami. Zavarovanci vsako leto posegajo po cenejših zavarovanjih in posledično prehajajo od ene zavarovalnice k drugi, zato se mora vsaka zavarovalnica zavedati priložnosti in nevarnosti, navzočih v lastnem podjetju, predvsem pa prepoznati prednosti in slabosti konkurentov, saj šele potem more dosegati zastavljeno rast. V diplomski nalogi smo opredelili tekmece na področju zavarovalništva v Sloveniji. Izpostavili smo štiri izbrane zavarovalnice. To so: Zavarovalnica Triglav d.d., Adriatic Slovenica d.d., Zavarovalnica Sava d.d. in Generali d.d. V teoretičnem delu diplomske naloge smo med drugim predstavili osnove zavarovalništva in opisali nekaj zavarovalniških pojmov, opredelili zavarovalništvo kot gospodarsko dejavnost ter na kratko opisali zgodovino zavarovalništva v Sloveniji. Opredelili smo tudi pojem konkurence in pojasnili, kako si podjetje zagotovi konkurenčno prednost pred drugimi. V praktičnem delu smo predstavili analizo konkurence vseh štirih največjih zavarovalnic v Sloveniji, in sicer Zavarovalnice Triglav d.d., zavarovalnice Adriatic Slovenica d.d., Zavarovalnice Sava d.d. in zavarovalnice Generali d.d. ter opredelili tržno moč zavarovalnic. V empiričnem delu smo z anketnim vprašalnikom opravili analizo sekundarnih virov in opravili raziskavo zadovoljstva zavarovancev z zavarovalnicami ter analizirali končne rezultate. Ker se podjetja na splošno razlikujejo med seboj v posameznih značilnostih, bomo skušali ugotoviti, v čem se razlikujejo izbrane zavarovalnice. To bomo izvedeli s pomočjo sekundarnih virov; med 100 naključno izbranih oseb bomo razdelili anketne vprašalnike. V diplomski nalogi bomo tudi ugotavljali, kateri je najpomembnejši faktor pri izbiri zavarovalnice in katera izmed njih ima največji ugled.

Secondary abstract: The competition in the field of insurance is getting stronger every year and so is the fight for survival between insurance companies. The insured demand lower prices each year and therefore change from one insurance company to another. Each insurance company has to be aware of the opportunities and threats in their business environment and define the advantages and strengths of its competition to achieve a certain growth. In the thesis we defined the competition in the field of insurance in Slovenia. The focus is on four selected insurance companies: Zavarovalnica Triglav d.d., Adriatic Slovenica d.d., Zavarovalnica Sava d.d. and Generali d.d. In the theoretical part of the thesis we defined the basics of insurance, described a few insurance concepts, defined insurance as an economic activity and added a brief description of insurance history in Slovenia. We defined the concept of competition and the ways in which the companies can achieve a competitive advantage. The practical part of the thesis consist of competition analysis of the four biggest insurance companies in Slovenia: Zavarovalnica Triglav d.d., Adriatic Slovenica d.d. Zavarovalnica Sava d.d. in Generali d.d. and defined their market power. In the empirical part we performed a secondary source analysis with a survey questionnaire. We conducted a survey of the satisfaction of insured persons with their insurance companies and analyzed the final results. Since each company differs according to certain characteristics, we will try to determine what sets the selected insurance companies apart. We will perform this by the means of secondary sources. We will distribute survey questionnaires among 100 random people. In the thesis we will also analyze the most important factors that affect the choice of insurance company and which insurance company has the best reputation.
