Abstract

Secondary title: Teaching an optional subject Robotics in technology
Secondary abstract: Nowadays technology is developing remarkably fast. The development can especially be seen in the field of robotics, which is now present at every step of the industry as well as in every-day life. Therefore it is crucial that pupils meet with robotics as early as primary school. Therefore we can offer the subject of robotics as a optional subject but only if there is sufficient equipment and if the teachers carrying the subject feel properly qualified. At the moment there is no textbook in Slovenia for teaching robotics that would be confirmed by the educations government and consequently there is a fear among the teachers that they will not be able to handle the subject and execute it properly. There is also the issue of material means, as special and effective equipment is required to carry out the classes properly. A great help in teaching the subject of robotics is the use of constructive puzzles Fichertechnik and Lego Mindstorms and the use of IKT assets. Despite this many teachers still face the questions of how to use these means and how to incorporate them into their classes. In the dissertation I gathered practical examples on how to teach robotics and which learning materials and accessories to use.
