Abstract

Človek s svojimi dejavnostmi, načinom življenja in gospodarskim razvojem ustvarja različne vrste odpadkov. Podjetja bi morala zmanjšati količino porabljene vode in skrbeti za primerno ravnanje z odpadki, ki močno ogrožajo ekosisteme. Cilj magistrskega dela je ločevanje odpadne oljno-vodne emulzije na oljno in vodno fazo, pri čemer je nadaljnje delo osredotočeno na količino oljne faze in kakovost vodne faze. Pred izpustom v okolje ali kanalizacijo mora prečiščena odpadna voda dosegati mejne vrednosti parametrov, ki jih predpisuje zakonodaja. Vzorec odpadne emulzije je odvzet iz skladiščnih prostorov podjetja, kjer se začasno skladiščijo nevarni odpadki, preden jih prevzeme pooblaščen izvajalec in jih transportira na sežig v tujino. V laboratoriju Fakultete za strojništvo Univerze v Mariboru so bile opravljene analize odpadne emulzije in izvedeni laboratorijski poskusi vakuumskega uparjanja pri različnih delovnih pogojih (različna vrednost temperature in tlaka). Za čiščenje odpadne emulzije lahko uporabimo več različnih metod, ki se razlikujejo po zahtevnosti delovanja in obratovalnih stroških. V magistrskem delu smo raziskali učinkovitost čiščenja odpadne emulzije z vakuumskim uparjanjem. Rezultat uparjanja je koncentrat (odpadna oljna gošča) in destilat (prečiščena voda). Za zmanjšanje porabe pitne vode bi se očiščena voda po uparjanju uporabila za pripravo sveže emulzije, če bi dosegala zahtevano kakovost.

Secondary title: Treatment of a waste oil-in-water emulsion by vacuum evaporation
Secondary abstract: With their activities, way of life and economic development, the human kind creates various types of waste. Companies should reduce the amount of water consumed and take care of proper waste management that greatly threaten ecosystems. The aim of the master's thesis is the separation of waste oil-water emulsion into the oil and water phase, whereby the further work focuses on the quantity of oil phase and the quality of the water phase. Before being released into the environment or sewerage system, the purified waste water must achieve the limit values of the parameters required by the legislation. A waste emulsion sample is taken from the storage rooms, where hazardous waste is temporarily stored before being picked up by an authorized contractor and transported to incineration abroad. In the laboratory of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Maribor, analyses of waste emulsion and laboratory vacuum evaporation experiments were performed under different working conditions (different temperature and pressure). Several different methods can be used to purify the waste emulsion, which varies according to the complexity of operation and operating costs. In the study we researched the efficiency of cleaning the waste emulsion by vacuum evaporation. The evaporation results are the concentrate (waste oil sludge) and distillate (water). To reduce drinking water consumption, the purified water after evaporation would be used to prepare a fresh emulsion, of course, if it achieved the required quality.
