Abstract

Izdelali smo lastne etikete in herbarij vključili v bazo podatkov.

Secondary title: Analysis of the herbarium of selected tropical tree species from Central African Republic
Secondary abstract: Department of Forestry and Renewable Forest Resources received a herbarium of selected tropical tree species from the Central African Republic from the Department of Wood Science and Technology, Biotechnical Faculty. To include the herbarium in the Herbarium Collection LJUGO, its thorough analysis was needed. Herbarium included thirty-five (35) sheets with several specimens of seventeen (17) different tree species. The samples were harvested at various locations, probably on different trees. Specimens of the same species often had a different date of harvest. The sheets also contained data labels; each specimen had its own label. We verified the validity of names, characteristics, properties and usability of each species, and evaluated the condition of the specimens. We made our own labels and included the herbarium in the database. Finally we proposed the most suitable way of storing the herbarium for its long-term preservation.
