Abstract

Secondary title: Comprehensive management of the patient with a rupture of brain aneurysm
Secondary abstract: Theoretical starting points: Rupture of brain aneurysm can cause in a second severe consequences on the brain, which can lead to death, disability or complete recovery. We divide brain aneurysms according to their shape, location and cause. After the rupture occurs, in most cases appears subarachnoid bleeding, which requires immediate action. We have to diagnose and treat brain aneurysms as soon as possible, as well as perform appropriate and professional neurosurgical care to treat the patient comprehensively. Research methods: In the thesis we used the descriptive method of work and the method of analysis and synthesis. We compared and analyzed slovenian and foreign professional literature and ultimately answered the research questions. Results: Subarachnoid hemorrhage is an urgent condition requiring rapid transport to the hospital and early diagnosis. Treatment may be endovascular or neurosurgical. After treatment, a comprehensive neurosurgical care is required, which demands the accuracy, professionalism and competence of medical personnel. When evaluating the patient's condition, we take into account the neurological assessment and assessment of vital functions. After treatment, many patients have consequences in their later life. Discussion and Conclusion: When brain aneurysm is ruptured, the mortality is so high due to bleeding into the brain, complications, the outcome of treatment, and patients who die before they reach the hospital. The role of a nurse in brain aneurysm rupture is crucial in monitoring and observing the patient's overall condition, nursing care and timely treatment of complications. Currently, endovascular treatment is more commonly used, as it has several advantages, it develops and progresses in development.
