magistrsko delo

Abstract

V Magistrskem delu v raziskovalna naloga raziskujemo tri glavne namene.

Secondary title: Risky behaviour, sensation seeking and effortful control during adolescence and early adulthood
Secondary abstract: The research paper has three main objectives. The first objective is to check the validity and reliability of the instruments. The second one is to examine the differences in relation to risky behavior, sensation seeking and the diligent control by gender and during development periods, and to check if there are differences in the inclusion in risky behavior in terms of socioeconomic status. The third objective is to examine the relation between the variables involved and the mediator role of risk perception and risk benefits in the relation between sensation seeking and risky behavior. The sample consisted of 412 participants. We used the questionnaire for measuring risk perceptions and risk behaviors (DOSPERT), the short search scale (BSSS-8), the early adolescent temperament questionnaire (EATQ-R), and the adult temperament questionnaire (ATQ) which had been declared as valid. The differences between development periods were expressed in relation to risky behavior and sensation seeking, while the differences in socioeconomic status in inclusion in risky behavior were not statistically significant. Gender differences were expressed in relation to risky behavior, while they were not statistically significant in sensation seeking and diligent control. The attitude of diligent control with sensation seeking and risky behavior depends on the developmental period. Sensation seeking is positively linked to risky behavior and the risk benefits and negatively linked to risk perception. It has also been found that the risk benefits and risk perception of a mediator are the relations between sensation seeking and risky behavior.
