Abstract

Secondary title: Correlation between the labour market flexibility and social security
Secondary abstract: In the past, the typical form of employment was the full-time employment. This form of employment is the starting point for the regulation of all other forms of employment. In the course of globalization, the form of employment in the labour market has changed, and it has become increasingly flexible. Employers began to use this form of employment, since it allowed them to adapt to changes in the market faster, one of the main factors being the reduction of labour costs. Increasing use of flexible forms of employment can also mean reducing job security or reducing social security. This master's thesis will try to understand the relation between the concept of flexibility of the labour market and social security systems. We will also present a model of flexibility, focusing on the golden triangle of the Danish labour market. Below is an analysis of different forms of flexible employment, their use in Slovenia and in the countries of the European Union. In order to facilitate comparison, the analysis is also organized according to the models of welfare countries. In 2013, Slovenia adopted a reform of labour legislation aimed at reducing the segmentation and precariousness on the labour market, which is why we will focus on this reform, which encouraged the introduction of flexible forms of employment.
