Secondary title: | Use of official languages in judicial proceedings at the territories with national minorities in the Republic of Slovenia |
Secondary abstract: | This discussion deals with the problems of use of Italian and Hungarian language as official languages in judicial proceedings at the territories of Slovenia where those languages are proclaimed as official languages. Authors find that there is a legal ground for everyone to be allowed to address the court in official language; however, the practice of courts is not unified. Especially at the territory with Italian minority the courts also inspects the ethnicity of the petitioner even though no clear criterions for such test exist. |
