In the thesis we introduce the concept of mobile application and compare their types and differences in development process. We introduce mobile operating systems, their respective history and current market shares. We briefly survey the most prevalent frameworks and tools for developing mobile applications and study in depth the Ionic framework used for development of hybrid application. We also review its history, deployment process and security concepts. We further compare the first and the second version of the framework regarding functionalities, coding, benefits and disadvantages. In the second part of the thesis we introduce the development process of a hybrid mobile application named mRehab that has been developed using on Ionic framework. Its main purpose is to enable medical experts to remotely manage rehabilitation of patients with cardiovascular diseases. We also present, the process the development of server-side application programming interface. |
