Abstract

Magistrsko delo Kaj o okoljski vzgoji vedo in kako okoljevarstveno živijo učenci Osnovne šole Gorišnica je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela, ki sta vsak zase zaključena celota in se med seboj dopolnjujeta. V teoretičnem delu so predstavljena teoretična izhodišča empirične raziskave, in sicer je opredeljen in opisan trajnostni razvoj, njegova zveza z vzgojo in izobraževanjem, opisana je okoljska vzgoja in predstavljena je občina Gorišnica (poudarjeno je predvsem šolstvo in Osnovna šola Gorišnica, saj so njeni učenci predstavljali vzorec empirične raziskave). V empiričnem delu je predstavljena empirična raziskava (N = 327), s katero je bilo ugotovljeno, da imajo anketirani relativno visoko znanje o varovanju okolja, pa vendar se slednje dosledno ne zrcali v njihovem ravnanju. Največ znanja o varovanju okolja izkazujejo anketirani učenci tretjega triletja, ki tudi najbolj okoljsko pravilno ravnajo. Glede na spol se tako v znanju kot tudi v ravnanju ne izkazujejo statistično značilne razlike. Najmanj znanja pa so anketirani učenci izkazali pri poimenovanju in razlagi pojmov, povezanih z varovanjem okolja.

Secondary abstract: Master thesis What do the pupils of primary school Gorišnica know about environmental education and are they eco-friendly, has theoretical and empirical part; the parts supplement and complete each other. Theoretical basis of the empirical research is presented in the theoretical part; namely the continual development and its connections with upbringing and education are defined and described, environmental education and Municipality of Gorišnica are described (mostly, the educational system and Primary School Gorišnica, since the pupils of Primary School Gorišnica are the participants in the empirical research). In the empirical part, the empirical research is presented (N = 327). Findings show that the participants in the research know relatively a lot about the nature conservancy, but that is not seen in their behaviour. Pupils of the third triad show the most knowledge of nature conservancy, and they are the eco-friendliest. Based on the gender, there are no major differences in knowledge and behaviour. Participants in the research know the least about the terms and definitions of nature conservancy.
