Abstract

Magistrska naloga temelji na modeliranju zaledja šestih letališč v Sloveniji ter njenih sosednjih državah (Ljubljana, Zagreb, Trst, Gradec, Celovec in Benetke). Metodologija, ki smo jo uporabili v delu, je bila sprva razvita za modeliranje zaledij pristanišč, mi pa smo jo dodelali tako, da je uporabna za izračun potencialnih zaledij letališč. Metodologija predstavlja hibridni pristop k modeliranju, ki združuje analitično hierarhični proces za analizo subjektivnih dejavnikov (kot sta frekvenca letenja v večja mesta in oddaljene destinacije) in mešano celoštevilčno linearno programiranje za vključitev objektivnih dejavnikov (cena letalske vozovnice, oddaljenost domačega naslova od letališča, čas potovanja). Delo se od ostalih znanstvenih in strokovnih del tujih avtorjev razlikuje ravno v uporabljeni metodologiji, saj za tovrstne analize raziskovalci uporabljajo izključno eno vrsto podatkov subjektivne ali objektivne. Ugotovitve, ki smo jih predstavili na zemljevidu zaledij letališč, so lahko pomembne tudi pri načrtovanju vlaganj v analizirana letališča in za izboljšanje konkurenčne prednosti.

Secondary title: Modeling the catchment area in Alpe-Jadran region
Secondary abstract: The master's thesis is based on the modeling of the catchement area of six airports in Slovenia and its neighbouring countries (Ljubljana, Zagreb, Trieste, Graz, Klagenfurt and Venice). A methodology used in the work was originally developed for modeling the hinterland of ports, and we have worked it out the way that it is useful for calculating the potential hinterlands of airports. The methodology presents a hybrid modeling approach that combines an analytical hierarchical process for the analysis of subjective factors (such as the frequency of flying to larger cities and distant destinations) and the Mixed-Integer Linear Programming for the inclusion of hard data (the price of the airline ticket, the distance of the home address from the airport, the time of travel). Work differs from other scientific and professional works of foreign authors in the methodology used, as for such analyses researchers use only one type of data - subjective or objective. The findings we have presented on the map of airport hinterland can also be important when planning investments in analysed airports and improving their competitive advantage.
