Abstract
Ti dejavniki so hormonske in fiziološke spremembe v starosti, kronične bolezni, zdravila, stres, anksioznost, depresija in mentalno zdravje.

Factors influencing sexual disorders in elderly women |
Secondary abstract: |
Introduction: Although sexuality remains an important part of the emotional and physical intimacy that most men and women want to experience throughout their lives, sexual intercourse in women is a problem that should be well studied. The purpose of the research was to identify the factors that can cause disruption in a woman's sex life in old age.
Methods: We used the descriptive method of work and the method of analyzing and synthesizing data from literature in Slovene and English. We searched literature in MEDLINE, CINAHL, Google Schoolar and Google databases using key words. In the search for literature, we considered inclusion and exclusion criteria.
Results: There are several factors which affect sexual activity within the elderly. Such as Hormonal, Physiological changes, chronic diseases, Medications, Stress, Anxiety, Depression and Mental health issues Hormonal and physiological changes can result in painful sexual intercourse, insecurity, difficulty in arousal or orgasm, discomfort in sexual intercourse or the loss of enjoyment. Medicines adversely affect sexual desire, sexual arousal, stress and anxiety affect the vaginal dryness which causes painful sexual intercourse. Depression and poor mental health have adverse influence on sex.
Discussion and conclusions: The ever greater recognition of this common problem and future research in this area can change the perception of sexuality. It's a mistake to think that sexuality dies in old age. It's important to recognise the factors that can prevent older woman from enjoying an active sex life. One way is to recognize them, talk about them and treat sexual problems. |
