Secondary abstract: Knowledge management is a very important factor in competitiveness of an organization. Organizations must allow their employees access to information and data they need at a specific moment. An extremely fast development of information and communication technologies (ICT) causes development of new information tools that support knowledge management. It is up to the organization whether to take advantage of this support and what tools to use. The master's thesis tries to find the answers to the following questions: what is the state in most successful Slovenian organizations in the field of knowledge management and do organizations support the development and acquisition of new knowledge among employees. Furthermore, we wanted to find out whether organizations use ICT tools that are meant for knowledge management support and how much time is dedicated to education and training in educations institutions.
