Abstract

Secondary abstract: Virtual, augmented and mixed reality are technologies that are gaining a bigger purpose from day to day. Thus, the manufacturers of these technologies saw an opportunity for a new technological trend, which we call "fashion mirror". Experts began programming programs, using the aforementioned reality, and creating software that allows us to use virtual fitting rooms. In this thesis, we will first focus on the presentation of virtual fitting rooms. We will describe different types of reality that enable this experience, present the case, and later in the thesis promotion of sales from virtual fitting room point of view as a tool for sales promotion. The goal of this thesis is to raise awareness among readers and participants in the empirical part of this thesis about the existence of such way oftrying on clothes. On the basis of the goal set and the hypothesis, we created a survey, which involved 100 respondents, and on the basis of their answers confirmed or rejected the hypotheses that were pre-set. Another important goal of the thesis was to determine whether or not the participants in the study would like to try on clothes using virtual fitting rooms. In the empirical part, after analyzing the obtained answers and data, we found that we achieved the aforementioned goal since most responded that such a way of trying on clothes would be desired. The introduction of such a way of trying clothes to stores is advised as it is a very good tool for sales promotion because it represents something new, interesting, interactive and fun. People also connect at one level to one another, because of such a way of trying on clothes in public, where others can observe users in creating a new look.
