Abstract

V diplomskem delu smo najprej predstavili progresivne spletne aplikacije, njihov izvor, delovanje in druge značilnosti. Poglobili smo se tudi v delovanje storitvenih delavcev in pojasnili, zakaj so tako pomembni. Nato smo predstavili še aplikacijsko lupino in posamezne pristope k izgradnji progresivnih spletnih aplikacij ter jih ponazorili s praktičnimi primeri. Skozi implementirane primere smo prišli do ugotovitev glede hitrosti vzorcev, težavnosti izvedbe in njihove varnosti. Ugotovili smo, da se progresivnim spletnim aplikacijam obeta svetleča prihodnost in da je najboljši pristop k njihovi izgradnji odvisen od naših želja in potreb po razvijanju določene vrste aplikacije.

Secondary abstract: This diploma thesis begins by describing progressive web applications, their origins, performance and other characteristics. We also dived into the performance of service workers and why they are so important. Then we described applications shells and illustraded each one of the approaches to building progressive web applications with practical examples. Through the implemented examples, we found out about their speed, peformance and safety. We also found out that progressive web applications have a bright future and that the best approach to implementing them depends on our desires and needs to develop a particular kind of application.
