Abstract

Obogatena resničnost je v uporabi že kar nekaj časa, a marsikdo še vedno ne ve zanjo, kljub temu da se z njo srečujemo skorajda dnevno. Če bi obogateno resničnost prikazali na daljici, je na polovici med resničnim svetom in navidezno resničnostjo, saj združuje oba svetova. V diplomski nalogi smo raziskali zgodovino in teorijo obogatene resničnosti, kjer smo se osredotočili na tehnologije, ki se uporabljajo pri razvoju aplikacij z obogateno resničnostjo. S pomočjo pridobljenega znanja smo razvili prototip iOS aplikacije, ki je namenjena temu, da s pomočjo obogatene resničnosti nadomesti klasične načine navigacije, kot so zemljevidi in zloženke. Na koncu pa smo aplikacijo testirali na uporabnikih in z njihovo pomočjo zaznali, kaj bi bile lahko morebitne izboljšave in njena uporabnost.

Secondary abstract: Augmented reality has been in use for quite a while and despite encountering it on almost a daily basis, a lot of people still do not know what it means. If augmented reality was drawn on a line segment, it would be located in the middle - between the real world and virtual reality as it merges both worlds. In the thesis we researched the history and the theory behind augmented reality. We focused on the technologies used for the development of augmented reality applications. With the help of obtained knowledge a prototype of iOS application, whose purpose is to replace classical ways of navigation like maps and leaflets with augmented reality, was developed. In the end the application was tested by users and with their help we determined possible improvements and its usefulness.
