Abstract

Frazemi so slovarsko urejeni in po pojavnosti primerjani s slovarskimi in knjižnimi viri (Slovar slovenskega knjižnega jezika in Slovar slovenskih frazemov).

Secondary title: Animal idioms in selected subdialects of Prekmurje
Secondary abstract: The master's thesis focuses on animal idioms that contain either the names of domestic animals or other wildlife animals that are used in local subdialects of Goričko and Ravensko. Both of the local subdialects are classified as a part of the Pannonian dialectal group. In theoretical part, geographical and historical descriptions of selected regions were mentioned and described. The research provided selected analysed idioms and their regular use. Furthermore, animal proverbs and curse words with animal motives were added according to the specific animal. Selected animal idioms were organized in the form of dictionary entries where we ascertained whether the idioms occur in literary sources, the Dictionary of Standard Slovene (SSKJ) or/and in the Phraseological Dictionary of Slovene (SSF). The occurrence of animal idioms in both local dialectal regions was examined, focusing on their differences and similarities. While analysing and combining selected idioms, the results revealed that in both dialectal groups cow is the most commonly mentioned animal. Consequently, the fact illustrates the frequency of a direct contact with these animals. In both local subdialects there were specific idioms that do not occur in literary sources. The research provided the fact that the majority of animal idioms contain a negative connotation, where the transferred features are often strictly negative. Animal idioms, animal proverbs, swear and curse words with animal motives are commonly used and considered as a regular part of a spoken language in everyday communication.
