Abstract

Tema diplomske naloge obravnava koncept svobode interneta. Svoboda interneta pomeni, da se mora ves promet, ki poteka po internetu, obravnavati enako. V diplomski nalogi s pomočjo rezultatov izvedene ankete opredelimo kakšno je stanje razumevanja koncepta svobode interneta v Sloveniji. Svoboda interneta je sicer pomembna za razvoj gospodarstva, družbe in demokratičnih mehanizmov. V okviru diplomske naloge sta bila pripravljena dva vprašalnika. Prvi vprašalnik je bil namenjen širši javnosti, drugi pa ljudem v poslovnem svetu in podjetnikom. Pridobljeni rezultati potrjujejo dejstvo, da večina ljudi ne ve, kaj je svoboda interneta. S pomočjo anket in intervjujev, smo pridobili različne in zanimive perspektive.

Secondary title: Analysis of net neutrality awareness in Slovenia
Secondary abstract: This thesis examines the concept of net neutrality. Net neutrality basically means that all internet traffic has to be treated equally. In the thesis we define the state of general understanding of the concept in Slovenia based on the results of the survey. Internet neutrality is in this modern age immensely important in the advance of the economy, society and also helps to preserve western democracy. This thesis is based on two surveys. The first one is aimed at the general public and the second one is aimed at people associated with business and entrepreneurs. The results obtained confirm the fact that the majority of people have no idea what net neutrality even is. With the survey and the interviews we also gathered many different and interesting viewpoints on the issue.
