diplomsko delo

Abstract

Secondary title: A changing understanding of privacy in liberal democracies on the example of the social network Facebook
Secondary abstract: In the diploma thesis we dealt with the study of the understanding of privacy in liberal democracies and reflected this on the example of the social network of Facebook in its Terms of Service. In this context, we have also addressed the relationship between public and private. We also elaborated the field of the concept of privacy, revealed the problematics of privacy understanding, and finally made a conditions analysis. The key part of the thesis is a critical understanding of the social network that operates and generates profits solely and only through the sales of information of individuals. A key actor between the individual and the social network are powerful corporations that exploit the individual's naivety and encourage individuals to reveal their privacy through new mechanisms and i.e. technologies and are even more productive in doing so.
