magistrsko delo
Abstract
Magistrsko delo »Hiša glasbe San Francisco« je rezultat sodelovanja na mednarodnem natečaju »San Francisco house of Music«, ki ga je organiziral AWR Competitions. Nov objekt glasbenega avditorija, ki vstopa v ikonični prostor parka Golden gate, bo moral s svojim konceptom in z arhitektonsko formo tvoriti dialog z naravo, z urbanim mestom tkivom in z navzočo arhitekturo v neposredni bližini. Programsko bo hiša z dodatnimi 918 sedeži in s spremljajočim programom dopolnjevala že obstoječo operno hišo War memorial.

My master’s thesis ‘’Hiša glasbe San Francisco’’ is the result of a collaboration
at the international competition called ‘’San Francisco House of Music’’,
organised by AWR Competitions. The new musical auditorium edifice,
which enters the iconic space of the Golden Gate Park, will have to
create a dialogue between the nature, auditorium’s concept and its
architectural form, together with the contemporary urban tissue including
the area’s present architecture. San Francisco House of Music will
complement the already existing opera ‘’War Memorial Opera House’’,
with the addition of 918 seats and an accompanying program. This
project derived from the idea of linking materiality with the local characteristics
of San Francisco, along with the structure and organisation of
the project on a deeper philosophical reflection on music, space, time
and our perception of the universe connected to the experience of the
present moment. |
