Abstract

Uporabniki nizkocenovnih ostrilnih strojev orodji tračnih žag poročajo o težavah zaradi nemožnosti kakovostnega in ekonomsko sprejemljivega ostrenja orodji tračnih žag.

Secondary title: Trajectory of the spindle movement of the sharpening machine
Secondary abstract: Users of low cost sharpening machines for the band saw blades report difficulties and incapability of quality and economically acceptable sharpening. Problems, among other reasons, also arise due to inadequate CNC controlling software for sharpening machines. In this master%s thesis, a computer software, which based on existing physical form of the band saw teeth mathematically describes shape of the teeth, is presented. The shape is: tooth point, front of tooth and gullet bottom with radius of the passage to the back side. Software also picks a grinding wheel from a user created library. The trajectory of movement of the grinding wheel is then created. Besides the software, the linear guides, which enable the movement of the grinding spindle along the provided trajectory, were chosen. The software code was tested by analyzing both the existing physical model of the blade, as well as the theoretical model. It was found that the software shows a deviation of 2% to 8% for the physical model and of 0.7% to 2.5% for the theoretical model.
