Abstract

V diplomskem delu je podrobneje predstavljeno izkoriščanje geotermalne energije. Predstavljeno je geotermalno izkoriščanje v Republiki Sloveniji in drugod po svetu. Opisana sta nastanek geotermalne energije in zgradba Zemlje. Podrobneje so predstavljene definicije, klasifikacije ter lastnosti omenjene energije. V prvem delu je v celoti zajet geotermalni potencial v Republiki Sloveniji ter geotermična območja, kjer se že izkorišča geotermalno energijo v različne namene. Podrobneje je opisan geotermični gradient, ki je zelo pomemben oz. ključni faktor pri raziskovanju geotermalne energije. Predstavljene so tudi različne vrste tehnologij izkoriščanja geotermalne energije za proizvodnjo toplote. Nekaj besed je namenjenih tudi izkoriščanju geotermalne energije za proizvodnjo električne energije. Našteti so procesi, s katerimi lahko izkoriščamo geotermalno energijo in tako pridobivamo električno energijo. Opisane so tudi prednosti ter slabosti, ki so vezane na to vrsto energije. Na kratko je predstavljena tudi zgodovina in zdravilni učinki omenjene energije. V drugem delu diplomskega dela smo se osredotočili na mesto Lendava, ki leži v SV delu Slovenije. Podrobneje je opisana izraba geotermalne energije, saj Lendava velja za prvo geotermalno mesto v Republiki Sloveniji. Predstavljeno je tudi daljinsko ogrevanje, saj s takšnim sistemom ogrevajo mesto. Opisani so tudi potrebni osnovni objekti za ogrevanje mesta Lendava na osnovi geotermalnega sistema.

Secondary abstract: This thesis focuses on the exploitation of geothermal energy in detail. We presented the exploitation of geothermal energy in Slovenia and around the world. We described the formation of geothermal energy and the Earth’s structure. The focus was also placed on the definitions, classifications and properties of geothermal energy. The first part of the thesis presented the geothermal potential of Slovenia and the areas where geothermal energy is already used for different purposes. The geothermal coefficient, which is one of the key factors in geothermal energy research, is explained in detail. Different types of technologies regarding the exploitation of geothermal energy for heat production are presented as well. We briefly mentioned electricity production using geothermal energy and the processes that are used along with all the advantages and disadvantages of this type of energy. Furthermore, we briefly described its history and therapeutic effects. The second part of the thesis focused on the city of Lendava, which is located in South East Slovenia. The exploitation of geothermal energy in Lendava, which is known as the first geothermal city in Slovenia, is described as well. We also presented remote control heating used in Lendava including all the basic structures that are needed to perform remote control heating.
