Abstract

V zaključni nalogi so pregledane informacije o eksperimentih ter ugotovitve znanstvenih literatur s področja kriogenega frezanja in vrtanja z uporabo kapljevitega ogljikovega dioksida (angl. Liquid Carbon Dioxide - LCO [sub] 2).

Secondary title: Scientific literature review on cryogenic milling and drilling using liquid CO2
Secondary abstract: In this thesis, experimental information and findings from scientific literature on the cryogenic milling and drilling with the assistance of liquid CO [sub] 2 (LCO [sub] 2) is presented. In addition, a summary of the scientific literature is made in the form of a tables, where all the key information are brought together and sorted by year of publication. Moreover, in charts, we compared the number of scientific studies that were made on milling and drilling. Beside liquid CO [sub] 2, supercritical CO [sub] 2 and CO [sub] 2 in the form of dry ice are also mentioned. Cryogenic machining is compared to a dry machining, flood lubrication machining, high-pressure assisted machining and machining with minimum quantity lubrication. It has been found, that cryogenic milling with LCO [sub] 2 is a promising alternative to the oilbased emulsions in machining of difficult-to-cut and heat-resistant materials. On the contrary, this is harder to conclude for drilling, because there is a lack of studies on this field. On the other hand, the number of cryogenic milling studies is increasing, especially in 2017. The titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V is the most researched workpiece material in the field of cryogenic milling and drilling with assistant CO [sub] 2.
