Abstract

Dve šoli sta bili mestni in dve primestni.

Secondary abstract: In this master's thesis we defined and clarified the use of information and communications technology in non-compulsory subjects and extracurricular activities. Theoretical part includes the definition of non-compulsory subjects, extracurricular activities, information and communications technology (ICT), and the connection between them. The results of the research, which was conducted on a sample of four schools in Drava region, are presented in the empirical part. Two schools were urban and two suburban. We were interested in whether there are differences in the use of ICT use between them. In order to get a wider perspective, we used two separate survey questionnaires, one for the pupils and one for the teachers. The purpose of the study was to determine whether pupils and teachers in elementary schools use ICT in non-compulsory subjects and extracurricular activities and to what extent. Among other things, we researched the pupil's opinion and what their wishes are regarding the use of ICT. As for the teachers, we were interested in whether they are more conservative in the use of ICT in compulsory lessons than in non-compulsory subjects and extracurricular activities. A descriptive and casual non-experimental method of empirical pedagogical research was used in the research. The research has shown that pupils of suburban schools use ICT in non-compulsory subjects and extracurricular activities to the same extent as pupils of urban schools, the teachers use less ICT in non-compulsory subjects and extracurricular activities than in compulsory lessons, and that pupils generally want more use of ICT.
