Abstract

Osnovni namen magistrskega dela je prikazati referenčno službo v Osrednji knjižnici Celje in Osrednji knjižnici Mozirje ter opredeliti njen pomen s stališča knjižničarjev in uporabnikov. Želeli smo ugotoviti, kakšno je delo referenčnega knjižničarja, kako poteka referenčni pogovor, do kakšnih razlik prihaja med knjižnicama, ali je referenčna služba v današnjem času pomembna in potrebna ter kako si knjižničarji predstavljajo svoje delo v prihodnosti. Mnenja knjižničarjev smo pridobivali s pomočjo delno strukturiranega intervjuja, mnenja uporabnikov z anketnim vprašalnikom, poleg tega smo s pomočjo delovnega lista opazovali referenčne pogovore. Intervjujali smo 13 knjižničarjev, anketirali 190 uporabnikov in opazovali 61 referenčnih pogovorov. Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da med potekom referenčne službe v dveh vključenih osrednjih knjižnicah ni večjih razlik. Knjižničarji menijo, da je kot storitev pomembna in potrebna, kar se je potrdilo tudi prek anket in opazovanj. Po mnenju knjižnjičarjev bo v prihodnosti nekaj sprememb, potrebna bosta prilagajanje in promocija, vendar referenčna služba ne bo izumrla.

Secondary abstract: The main purpose of the master's thesis is to present the reference service in the Central Library Celje and the Central Library of Mozirje and to define its significance from the point of view of librarians and users. We wanted to find out what kind of work a reference librarian does, how does he conduct a reference interview, what are the differences between libraries, whether the reference service is important and needed, and how librarians imagine their work in the future. We obtained the opinions of the librarians through a partially structured interview, the opinion of the users with a questionnaire, and we also observed reference talks with the help of the worksheet. We interviewed 13 librarians, interviewed 190 users and observed 61 reference interviews. The results of the study showed that there are no major differences between the course of the reference service in the two included central libraries. Librarians consider it important and necessary as a service, which was also confirmed through surveys and observations. For the future, librarians believe that some changes will need to be adapted and promoted, but the reference service will not die out.
