Abstract

Zaradi pomanjkanja slovenske literature o digitalizaciji in glasbeni industriji sem s polstrukturiranimi intervjuji znanih slovenskih producentov, založnikov in glasbenikov pridobil znanje o razvoju in spremembah v slovenski glasbeni industriji.

Secondary title: Digitalization of music industry in Slovenia
Secondary abstract: The music industry is a living organism that develops and adapts according to the climate in the music world. If music was initially just a sequence of tones and rhythms, it evolved over the years and turned into an industrial superpower that entertains users with its products, and at the same time it offers work to all those who work in the music world. Digitalization influenced the development of music production, the use and sale of music. In my diploma thesis I will explore the effects of digitization on the development of musical production, how it influenced the publishing house, the author and the performers, and the listeners. Due to the lack of Slovene literature on digitization and musical industry, I, through semi-structured interviews with famous Slovenian producers, publishers and musicians, gained knowledge about the development and changes in musical industry.
