Abstract

Pulzno gostotna modulacija se od preostalih metod za generacijo binarnega psevdoanalognega signala razlikuje predvsem po višji zmogljivosti na enoto zahtevane procesne moči. V zaključni nalogi smo raziskali možnost programske implementacije pulznogostotnega modulatorja na mikrokrmilniku. Z uporabo razvite programske kode smo to potrdili in uspeli generirati nekaj osnovnih vrst periodičnih signalov pri različnih frekvencah in ločljivostih, prikazali pa smo tudi kako metoda obvladuje kvantizacijski šum.

Secondary abstract: The main difference between pulse density modulation and other binary pseudo-analog signal generation methods is it%s superior performance per unit of required processing power. In this thesis we explored the possibility of software implementation of pulse density modulators on microcontrollers. We were successful in generating a few elementary periodic signals at various frequencies and resolutions using the developed software. We also showed the favourable noise shaping property of the method.
